Strain Comments:

• Although this should, by definition, have no chromosomal markers, the rfb mutation was reported by Liu and Reeves in reference below.
• We have been informed by S. Short that this strain carries a 40 Md plasmid instead of the wildtype F1. This is presumably a shortened derivative of F1.
• ΔrfbB51-- deletes rfbB and the upstream region.
