• lacZ90(Oc)-- is the allele from Paris strain Hfr3000 X90. It is an ochre mutation, in `interval 16' of Newton et al. JMB 14:290(1965).
• pyr-42-- uracil auxotrophy. probably in pyrC or pyrD.
• NalR = Nalidix.acidResist.
• Oc = ochre(UAA) mutation
• strR = streptomycin resist.
